Biography for Claus Reiss

How I became a
bagpipe comedian

Great passion for
the shrilling sound

In a young age I got interest in bagpipe music and just had to learn that awesome instrument.

Originally I’m an engineer with innovation as my speciality, but I chose a big career change. I had started to combine bagpipe with stand up comedy and it worked surprisingly well.

I’ve been a full time bagpipe comedian since 2007. I live in Copenhagen and perform all over the world.

I perform at clubs + private and corporate parties with about 150 gigs per year.

Experience from
1000+ shows

For the last 13 years I’ve performed for 3 to 1000 people.
3 persons – in a livingroom and 1000 – warming up for Denmark’s most popular comedian, Anders Matthesen.

My brand of comedy is clean and unpretentious with a musical twist with the bagpipe.
